As the first month of the season concludes in Frisco, the RoughRiders carry their 13–9 record on the road to Corpus Christi. Let’s take a look at who is performing well in a RoughRiders uniform right now!

Cody Freeman

Freeman collected his first five-hit performance in his career last Thursday, going 5-for-5 with a double and two home runs. His five-hit day is still the only of its kind at the Double-A level this season.

  • Last 10G: he is batting .324 (12-for-37)/.375/.622/.997 with two doubles, three home runs, six RBIs and five runs scored.
  • Last 7G: he has hits in just three games, but has combined to record 10 hits in those contests.

Aaron Zavala

Though Zavala failed to reach for the first time this season on Sunday, he has been getting on base at a remarkable clip this season for the Riders.

  • During 18-game on-base streak, he slashed: .279/.438/.393/.831
  • His current OBP of .398 is second on the team

Josh Hatcher

In an incredible win on Saturday, Josh Hatcher hammered a three-run, walk-off home run for a 4–3 win over Amarillo. Hatcher’s capper was his third home run in as many games.

  • In 15G: he has driven in a whopping 16 runs over while slashing .373/.403/.576/.979.
  • Last 8G: .375/.412/.688/1.100 with 3 HR, 9 RBIs.
  • .373 average is 4th in Texas League, .576 SLG (7th), .979 OPS (7th).

Dane Acker

Starter Dane Acker has dominated so far with the RoughRiders in four starts. He set a new career high with eight strikeouts in his last start and has allowed just three runs over 18.1 innings while striking out 26 and walking six.

Texas League ranks:

  • 1.47 ERA (1st)
  • .172 Batting Average Against (3rd)
  • 0.93 WHIP (2nd)
  • 26 strikeouts (8th)

Anthony Ho’opi’i Tuionetoa

The reliever has been fantastic out of the bullpen, not allowing an earned run over his seven outings. He is tied for the league lead with seven scoreless outings.

  • He has struck out 12 to three walks over his 9.0 innings.
  • He is allowing just a .138 batting average against.
